Remember Me? Wins Two Webby Awards

Webby Award LogoWe are pleased to announce that Remember Me? has won two Webby Awards for the best cultural institution website. The site won both the "people's voice" award voted for by the public and the award selected by a panel of judges.

"We are excited to gain more recognition for the Remember Me? site, which honors the experiences of the most vulnerable victims of war and genocide," says project director Lisa Pearl. "And we are extremely grateful to all of the survivors and family members who have shared their personal stories with us, so that this history will be preserved forever."

Since its launch in March 2011, the Museum has helped identify 330 of the more than 1,100 child survivors whose photographs are featured on the Remember Me? site. You can help us learn the fates of the remaining children while there is still time, by sharing ushmm.org/rememberme with your friends and family today.

The Webby Awards are the leading honor for website achievement in creativity and technology. The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences selected this year's winners from nearly 10,000 entries from all 50 states and 60 countries. The awards will be conferred at a ceremony in New York on May 21.
